Sportsister’s Big Day Out

TriNorth are no strangers to the picturesque Wormsley Cricket Ground and this month we were back with Sportsister to watch England take on Australia in the Women’s Ashes Test match.

With a backdrop of rolling hills and a clear-ish sky, friends of Sportsister came together for a day where female sport was at the heart of every conversation. A smorgasbord of delicious food courtesy of Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts and the use of the Getty family’s marquee, meant even a slight rain delay couldn’t put a dampener on the day. With a draw looking likely, the batting of Heather Knight who scored her first maiden international hundred provided a high point of the match as the points were shared between the two teams.

As some of you may be aware, three weeks after drawing the first match of the series, England have won the Ashes thanks to some excellent ODI and Twenty20 matches and will head Down Under this winter only needing a draw to retain the trophy. Well done girls!
